My name is Lyssha, I am the owner and main photographer at A D-Lysh Studio. I have a passion for capturing life moments that tell living stories about who my clients are, what they love doing, and who they love!
I am a mother of 6 amazing children, and as I am learning more and more each day, every moment is one that I am so grateful that I took the time to capture even when the moments may be ones that make me crazy as it is happening, I love the smiles they bring to me as I look back and remember "oooh look this is when you covered the bathroom in my favorite red lipstick!" It makes for some great times to connect and spend one on one time with my kids as they are getting older, and not needing their Mommy as much as they did then.
I also have had some difficult and scary medical issues hit myself and a few of my children, and that was when I started trying to document every moment that I could so that my "living stories" will always be there for my kids, and later on my grandkids to see how very much I love them, and the people, and hobbies in my life that created the person that I am! Because of these instances I started A D-Lysh Studio's with giving back being my main purpose, not just a way to make a living from something that I love, that just became a perk! I remember when my then preemie baby girl was unable to leave the house to keep her safe and out of the hospital, but that also made it so that we were unable to get professional pictures of how she was growing, or due to bed rest for maternity complications I was unable to get maternity pictures that I so wanted to document the wonderful time that marked my sweet babies beginning! As I began to watch other families around me go thru the same issues I decided to start my company in February 2012, instead of when my children were grown a little more.
I love the opportunity to serve those in this world around me, and I have found that by doing special shoots called "My journey to live" I have had the chance to capture some of the greatest beauty that my eyes have ever seen, the fight to live, and the true happiness that is had by those who are in the middle of such difficult circumstances! I offer FREE photography with complimentary prints to these families that are coping with life altering disease, as well as 20% of my daily sales go to a project side of my company we call Ella N' Avenne after 2 very special girls! (More information on Ella N' Avenne can be found at ellanavenne.blogspot.com) We also hold Photo shoot fundraisers with some really amazing theme's to help bring more to those in this situation here in NNY that must drive such long distances to find the level of health care that they need.
I also have a strong military background, being a granddaughter, a daughter, A niece, and a wife of men who proudly served their country in the United States Air Force! I have taken this opportunity to give back to those who serve and their families with special discount shoots and in some cases free shoots. I am proud to be an American, and even more so to know what it costs to have the freedoms that we do have, and that my children also are learning that service to our Country is a necessity for them to have the life, and privileges that they do have. I have also had the wonderful blessing of watching my children want to serve others, and having such strong relationships with one another, and a unity in my family that helps to lift all of us up, particularly when things seem to get the most difficult.
